I Asked The Moon

I asked the moon – Don’t you get lonely at night? He said – I have my stars with me, it’s the sun who feels aloof as he drowns in his own light. I asked the moon – Why don’t you like the sun and its cosmic sight? He said – The sun is dear to me but it just wasn’t in our destiny to unite. I asked the moon – How come you are so beautiful, even more than the stars? He said – You saw my beauty, but have you seen my scars? I asked the moon – Why can’t you see your beauty the way I do? He said – You also see the water but the water ain’t blue. I asked the moon – Don’t you feel grateful to live so up in the sky? He said – Things are not that happy here, I wonder though why. I asked the moon – Why can’t you just stay joyful with all your ethereal glory? He said – It’s not just about me, it’s every man’s story. I asked the moon – What has a man to do with it? He said – A man is never content since he always longs for more than his bit. I asked the m
