A Letter from a Father to his Daughter

I used to bounce you on my knees, Now you drive me around the city. You, my little girl, have grown up so much, Oh, isn't that just a pity! Your little feet entered my world, It is then I learned to make pigtails. I had a lot of tea parties since then, And I only got better on painting nails. Now you brush your own hair, And you don’t need your dad to pay your bills. I never wondered how much time has passed, Until I realized you’ve outgrown your cute, little frills. I might not be able to lift you up anymore, But my arms are still strong enough to wrap around you. Know that your father is always there to chase away your troubles, It has always been and it will always be true.
