Maybe It's You

An evening breeze hits me as such, Feels like that cold icy touch. It may not be or maybe its true, When my heart claims maybe it’s you. A gust of wind swirls around, Lifting my tresses with a cloaked bound. It can be a storm starting to brew, But my heart says maybe it’s you. I think about that day when we met, What follows my thought is a shadow, a silhouette. It is darker than the darkest hue, But then again I feel maybe it’s you. The air feels heavy making me choke, I see everywhere the billows of smoke. Am I the one stuck in a flue? Then why does it feel maybe it’s you. At night the moon casts a glow, And brings with it a shower of snow. Is it the heat of the sun that turns it into dew? Or the warmth coming from you? I feel it deep within my core, I’ve waited long enough to soar. Come and save me before I turn blue, There’s no maybe, I know it’s you.

Sara’s Journals Part II

Summer It was as if you were my own source of light, Like in your presence, everything felt so much more bright.  The star shone in the blue sky and the cold suffered defeat, With you by my side, there was no pain that I couldn’t beat. Life was blissful, no sorrow, no grief, no anguish, As if you were the only answer to my every wish. May 14, 2016 As life goes on, you stumble upon random people, memorable adventures, and unexpected surprises. Sid and I have come so far in our life that when I read my previous journals, I couldn’t help but laugh. It still feels so surreal when I think about meeting him for the first time in a cemetery. I can’t believe our story started at a place where the journey of life ends.           Maybe it was just the God’s ways to show that there’s a good in everything sad. There’s love in everything hatred. There’s a sliver of hope in every tunnel of darkness.     ...

Sara’s Journals Part I

Winter I don’t know if it was the stubborn cold air, Or was it your fingers playing with my hair? But I remember the love wafting on the breeze, And the warmth of your arms struggling with the freeze. There was a lonely moon on that snowy night, But in the plight of darkness, you were my only sight. December 10, 2013 It was just another winter day but the one I loved the most, Sunday. Lisa, my best friend and I used to loved Sundays. It was our favorite day of the week because a) no school and b) both of us would visit the cemetery to pay a visit to my grandma. That day after I laid down the fresh tulips on my grandma’s grave we sat on a bench doing people watching. Yeah, because the cemetery was the only place to do that, isn’t it? Now that I’m twenty-one, I have realized that sometimes eighteen-year-old brains are a bit too smart. But sometimes they just don’t work! It was then Lisa asked me a stupid question. 'Which is the least romantic place there can eve...

See You In Another World

I’ll see you in another world, my love, The world which would be far better than this, Where there would be beacons of joy and pure bliss. Where we being together won’t feel amiss, Where there would be a delight in every flutter of the kiss. I’ll see you in another world, my love, Where there would be no evil desire, And the people won’t just breathe the fire. Where we won’t stand against our own sire, Where our bodies won’t be left to suffer barbed wire. I’ll see you in another world, my love, Where there won’t be just you, or just me, Where they’d be happy for us being a ‘we.’ Where they would see our love the way I see, And our hearts won’t be caged on spree. I’ll see you in another world, my love, Where there’d be no pain, no sorrow, no fear, Where demons won’t chase and our paths are clear. Where I wouldn’t even speak but you will hear, Where our shield would survive even if it’s sheer. I’ll see you in another world, my love, ...

Do you love me? - Part II

Love is dangerously beautiful. But sometimes this love is too dangerous to destroy something beautiful. I spend the whole day mulling over that text messages again and again. It must have been Nikhil who dropped that message with an unknown number that I am sure of. But why? Why would he do that again after all this time? After what had happened that night… Even thinking about that time makes me shiver with dread. I have never in my whole life felt that scared. Much to my heart’s disappointment, my mind still remembers that night with every tiny detail and much glorious dread. It was the day of my birthday, a few months ago and for the first time, my family was not with me to celebrate it. Both my parents and my elder sister, Nidhi had gone to a distant relative’s stupid wedding. And little old me was stuck in there in my office working on a very important deal and making my boss a lot happier than he already was. Not that I was thrilled about that wedding but I was mis...
